A Better Morning Starts at Night

#OneMinuteDiary#LudensDiary#MorningRoutine#SleepHabits#SmallHabitsBigChanges#EnglishReading#AdultEnglish#SelfDevelopment#BetterHabits#LudensTimes

Last night, I went to bed again after 3 a.m.

I always try to become a morning person, but whenever I finish my work and finally get up from my desk, I see the same time on the clock.

From evening to early morning is when I work best. Once I get deeply absorbed in what I’m doing, it’s really hard to stop in the middle and pull myself away.

But that’s not the end of it.

Even after getting into bed, I don’t go straight to sleep—I check my phone again.

Ugh...

I know it’s a bad habit, but how should I put it?

It feels like a sweet little treat I give myself after working hard.

I make up excuses like that, but I still can’t help feeling a little pathetic.

To wake up feeling refreshed, giving up my late-night work and going to bed early... that’s just too much for me right now.

So then, I decided not to check my phone in bed.

I’ve made this promise to myself many times before, and failed every single time.

So this time, I decided to do something different.

I’ll leave my phone in another room before going to bed.

And in bed, instead of looking at my phone, I’ll look at something else.

I’ll fall asleep picturing myself tomorrow morning—well-rested, proud of myself, and ready to enjoy another interesting day.

I’ll try this out and come back to record how different the next day actually feels.

Instead of exhausting myself trying to become a morning person like everyone else,

I’d rather find something I can actually do right now and do it.

What about you?

What is that thing for you?

So What for ME
